“Lasting Change For Our Children”

Executive Director of The Strive Partnership, Greg Landsman, and Community Impact Director for United Way of Greater Cincinnati, Patricia Nagelkirk, shared their thoughts to the Cincinnati Enquirer in an Op-Ed. The article stresses the importance of supporting efforts to ensure that every child has access to quality preschool.

"We can work more effectively together to ensure every parent has access to excellent prenatal care and the supports they need to form secure, attached and loving bonds with their children. Support work done by Every Child Succeeds and its many providers to offer regular home visiting to first-time mothers using social workers, child development specialists and nurses from pregnancy until the child’s third birthday. If you have children, read to them every night, instilling curiosity and a love of learning. Support efforts like the Cincinnati Preschool Promise to ensure every child has access to quality preschool. Find opportunities through tutoring or mentoring to build strong, caring relationships with young people and let them know how much you care and want to see them succeed."
