Preschool Promise: We'll do 'everything differently'

It was one day after the city's park levy fell, a 59 percent to 41 percent rout.

No new tax, voters said. No charter amendment.

That was Tuesday. On Wednesday, a crowd of more than 100 young professionals gathererd to celebrate a kickoff for next November's election. It's 365 days away. And this time, the tax will be for preschool rather than parks.

"It's a dream come true to be in a position to make history!" said Greg Landsman, one of the project leaders, standing above a shoulder-to-shoulder crowd at Rhinegeist in OTR.
