Third Grade Reading Network
A collaboration is emerging between Cincinnati Public School District, early childhood service providers, backbone organizations like Success By 6 and StrivePartnership, and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center aimed at ensuring that over 90 percent of third graders in Cincinnati Public Schools are reading proficiently or above by 2020. With a shared understanding that building continuous improvement capability is critical to this goal, the collaborative will be focussed not only on high potentia and highly reliable interventions, but also on the development of the human resources needed to execute, test, measure, and sustain results. Funding to scale and spread high-reliability interventions could be directed through the network from the Every Child Capital Fund.
